Service Learning School Expeditions

About our Volunteering School Trips

Whether you are looking to create a long-term link with an overseas school or want to increase students’ understanding of the privileges of their upbringing, Gapforce has 27 years of experience arranging meaningful project work for your group. Many International Schools make use of our projects to fulfil the CAS element of the IB diploma.

Past community projects have included teaching English to Monks from the Tibetan Refugee community in North India, renovating a library at a rural primary school in Tanzania, and building temporary housing for vulnerable families in Cambodia.

For those looking for a more environmentally focussed project, we have arranged for groups to help on sustainable farming program in Costa Rica, build trails for eco-tourism in Ecuador and create protected areas around cultural sites in the jungles of Borneo to deter loggers.

Remember, all our expeditions are created bespoke so you’re not restricted by what you see here. If you’re undecided about where to go, just call us, we love sharing ideas.

  • I think I speak for everyone when I say that we are sorry to leave: the trip has shown us so much of a culture completely removed from our own, and we have spoken to some wonderfully resilient individuals, even apart from the Dalai Lama; I think we could learn from the refugee population of McLeod Ganj, who are far less materialistic than us and able to remain optimistic through great hardship. This has been a wonderful trip for all of us.
